BAM’s favorite entertainment reporter, WGN’s Dean Richards, mentioned BAM Studios in his Chicago Tribune column today. Titled “Toy Story 3 boasts local voice connections” Dean writes, “I was the guest of Disney-Pixar, where I learned about the Chicago voice connections to the film with Joan Cusack (the cowgirl, Jessie) and Jeff Garlin (Buttercup, the unicorn). Chicagoan Bonnie Hunt (Dolly, the doll) is also in the voice ensemble – all of Cusack’s and Hunt’s parts were recorded at BAM Studios on Erie Street in the Loop.”

Posted by: admin // Category: NewsBAM Studios owner Brian Reed created a real-time vuvuzela noise elimination process. “The noise coming from the South African vuvuzela sounds like deafening swarm of locusts” Reed says. We’ve precision-crafted a preset processing chain for broadcasters which pretty much eliminates vuvuzela noise. The chain utilizes the latest in noise suppression and reduction software, filter technology, and expansion techniques. Not only does the process take care of the vuvuzela noise, it increases the intelligibility of the game announcers’ play-by-play action and commentary. The process is available today as a stand-alone system ready to be installed by TV stations around the globe.

In a very short time, the 33-year-old chef has accrued accolades, including Best New Chef in 2004 from Food & Wine magazine and three James Beard Nominations. At age 27, Bowles was the youngest four-star chef in America. Graham is also opening up a sandwich shop called Grahamwich this summer just outside the windows of BAM.
