BAM got a sneak peek of one of the seasons’ hottest new pilots during an ADR session for the new ABC pilot “Far East Orlando”! The show, which was originally produced under the working title “Fresh Off the Boat,” is based on a memoir by author Eddie Huang. The show is a comedy about Eddie’s life growing up as an Asian-American in Orlando, FL, and how he handled issues of race, cultural identity, and the general struggles of being a kid. Actors Paul Scheer, Aubrey K. Miller, Hudson Yang, Constance Wu, Randall Park, Forrest Wheeler, Ian Chen, Jillian Armanante, and Rachel Cannon are set to star in the show. BAM had talent Brady Tutton in the booth to record for his character of Brock, a fellow student that bullies Eddie in the pilot. The session was engineered by Philip von During. “Far East Orlando” is being produced by 20th Century Fox TV, and is set to debut on ABC later this year.
